'The Poet Grow-Op: TAR's Spotlight on Student Poetry' is presently open only to Canadian residents.

Poets must be post-secondary students (age doesn't matter to us) at the time of submission.

Please send your work to tar@stfx.ca with your poem(s) either contained in the body of your email or attached in a .doc file. (MS Word is easiest for us!) Your email's subject line must state you are submitting to The Poet Grow-Op.

No more than three poems per submission. Maximum line count per poem: 50.

Response to your work will be given within approximately four to eight weeks. Please do not re-submit to The Poet Grow-Op until you've heard back from us.

Works must be previously unpublished in any form. TAR retains the first English-language, North American serial rights. All other rights to the work remain yours and you may reprint in whatever manner you choose after publication on our website. TAR would appreciate being acknowledged in any subsequent publications.

Submissions will not be returned. We do not accept hard-copy to the Grow-op.

Please include your postal address and a brief bio with your submission, about 50 words or less. Let us know your school, field of study (you do not have to be an English student to submit!), and year of study.
